Group Info

Those of you who are familiar with the book Tailchaser's Song by Tad Williams know it is a work of art not to be missed! Those of you who've read the book also know that those who know of it are few and far-between.

However, they ARE out there!

The purpose of this CLUB is to try to centralize the Tailchaser's Song Community that's out there, and hopefully provide more exposure to the book. There are MANY people out there would would LOVE this book, but simply haven't heard of it! For instance, the Warriors Community is HUGE - and those of us who have read Tailchaser's Song and some of the Warriors series know that those who like Warriors will LOVE Tailchaser's Song.

Nre'fa-o!

It has certainly been a while, but I intend to re-awaken this club, many thanks to all of you who have shown so much interest!!  You all are wonderful.  This group will, of course, start out small - it is definitely hard to find many people who are familiar with the book; but as evidenced, they ARE out there!  As soon as we get a solidly knit base of members who have read the book, I intend to spread the word of it and hopefully get some new followers--we'd all like that, right?  The Warriors fan base is insanely huge, so we KNOW there are potential Tailchaser fans out there that simply don't know about the book!

Please, keep posting the art here--it is free for submission and instantly approved, so very easy :3  I'm thinking about ways to organize the folder a bit - maybe "Scenes from the book" and "Canon characters" and "Original fan characters" or something of the like?  Please post your ideas for the group!  I would LOVE to hear from you Folk.  I really think we can make this thing big together.  Eventually I intend to make a website that is a huge database for Tailchaser's Song--it's such an epic world.  If we get good enough, here's an incentive!  We can contact Tad Williams and see what he thinks--and possibly see if there can be some sort of re-release of the book, or possibly a comic made or something of the like (ideally, a movie would be incredible, eh?).  It all depends on us, the fans.  Anyway, one step at a time.

The real inspiration for posting this blog entry was because one of our members, *zersen has SO KINDLY created a couple BEAUTIFUL, ANIMATED group avatars!!  I'm SO excited about this - she did an incredible job.  I would feature her here with thumbnails but I think that's a super group feature--I've been spoiled by my subscription.

In any case, take a look at her STUNNING gallery!  She is an incredibly adept and versatile artist, and in addition to her varied gallery she has made a few gorgeous Tailchaser's Song pieces.

Here are links to her TS related work:

And here are some highlights from her gallery:

Again I apologize for not being able to show these in thumbnail form!  This small smattering of work is hardly an example of how much *zersen can do.

A HUGE THANK YOU from ALL OF US for the new group avatar!

And, at last, I would love to hear from you all, and you will definitely be hearing from me quite soon!  Good dancing to you all.

Good dancing to you all. I have news that will excite Fritti fans. I was lucky enough to be at a convention last month where Tad announced they are making an anime movie of Tailchaser's Song. More info and some concept art can be found in the links below. It is in the beginning stages of production, so do not know how long we will have to wait.

I'm so excited!! I just recently remembered that Tailchaser's song existed, and I was thrilled about reading the book again (which I'm planning to do as soon as I get my hands on a copy) but this is just fantastic!

This is fantastic news!! I hope they do it justice. Looks like it might be good. A shame though, I was hoping to work on such a film, but who knows--there are always remakes, haha. Thanks for bringing the news!! What fun!! I can't wait - I always thought it should be adapted into a film.

You never know how the final product will turn out, but the people involved who were at the con seemed to really get what the story was about. The drama and pathos of it will hopefully come through. The screenwriter has been a fan of the book since he was in 5th grade, and has been working for four years on this project so far. Tad seemed very pleased and confident in them.

That is all great news! I'm so glad to hear it from someone who was there, too. This is all very encouraging. I hope they see it through, and soon!

Read Tailchaser's Song for the first time over 20 years ago when my daughter was born, and I've read it a few times since then. Just ordered it from Barnes and Noble and looking forward to reading it again. I gave my copy to a teenage girl (my son's girlfriend) hoping I could get her interested in reading. Absolutely LOVE this book!
